Oh, this is wonderful - subject, phrasing, flow, IP, just love it! My eldest is getting married (again) in April - I didn't get to give her away the first time, so I am more than excited, (and my youngest daughter and I are taking a sleeper train on the way out, ME to CA). No better poetry subject for me than one's own children. Fave-ing this! Blessings, John! :o)

I see I've been slow to respond to your kind words, Bard. Being a music guy, I thought you might appreciate that she chose "Here Comes the Sun" as her processional, because she knew that was my favorite song. The tears were flowing when I heard the first few notes. Had to include that reference in this poem! Cheers ~ John

Somehow this beautiful poem brought out the emotion in me enough to bring tears to my eyes John. Outstanding! Is it for the Tree poem contest? If not you should consider entering it. New Year blessings, Aloha, Connie : )

Connie, thank you for letting me know that this touched you! I was actually going to submit it in the English Quintain contest, but after writing it realized I'd already submitted an entry! I have another poem in the works for the "I Am A Tree" contest - hopefully I can finish it by the deadline! Hugs ~ John
