A New Pair

I offered my barefoot sweetheart a rose,
And gave a kiss on the tip of her nose.
She told me, “That is sweet,
But I'd rather you treat,
Me to some shoes, for I haven't got those!”

Hello HP, made me smile, and yes, a rose is sweet, sure, but a good pair of shoes can be its own kind of romance. Light, funny, and true to how real couples actually talk. Winter Blessings, HP Daniel
