A New Day
A New Day
I have seen flies shake wings on top of a cistern’s lid
I have broken gossamer looking like angelic mist
and millions of costly pearls glittering in the field
I have seen delicate green bushes spun by clouds
greeting the dawn, when my dog overawed by this
beauty was silent.
Life has many changes and surprises I look out of
the window in a high-rise flat, I see early morning
cars float on diesel-shining asphalt, killing rainbows
The sun, still beyond the horizon, but lit up the sky
where clouds open up like theatrical curtains, shows
me, blue heaven as a new day begins.
