Tiny aerialist weaves its own net; shiny silvery web. Arachned bobbing about its web in sunlight; quite a picture. How clever she is; it doubles as her kitchen!

This is my first reading of a sijo style poem. I looked it up because I did not know what style it was. I love this one is all I can say. In my mind's eye, I saw the busy spider spinning the web. I approached getting a closer look at how beautiful yet deadly a web it cast. She patiently waits for supper then devours her catch with great satisfaction.

I don't either; when I see one and get the urge to attack it, I have to stop myself and remind myself that they eat other bugs. I've learned to keep an old can or cup nearby to throw over them and toss'em out the door with. Glad you stopped by to read and comment; many thanks.
