A Mothers Heart
A Mothers Heart
Miracle Man
4/20/2022
Scissor-Tail Flycatcher, Oklahoma’s bird,
I sit just watching until eyes become blurred.
It’s feet clutching wire awaiting sight of a treat,
before long a hopper is seen crossing the street.
It takes several trips flying back to her nest,
and until all are fed this mother gets no rest.
For young in the nest are squawking for food,
and like most mothers she cares for her brood.
