A Moment of Growth
I was left to consider everything on a daily basis
Thankfully regret is slipping further into the past
And my mind, now free travels a thousand places
Grandiose the shadow that you once did cast
I remember when I felt that I’d never forget

Moving forward the constant goal I have set
I found a place that now holds my attention
I remember when I felt that I’d never forget
None of this is said in anger not my intention
I no longer hold those feelings of ill discontent
I found a place that now holds my attention
Discovering my true self is how my time is spent
Learning how to care about another soul as well

Each day on the past I allowed myself to dwell
