a moment in time

day
begins
with snow fall
and  winds blowing
spinning and swirling
I turn on the fireplace
and make a cup of coffee
and settle in with my blanket
as I snuggle in kitty comes too
on a table is my cell and laptop
but first I the watch television news
I sit quietly sipping coffee
now I am informed turn it off
my kitty cat wants some pets
her purrs are so calming
I check my cell phone
check my laptop
my eyes close
need nap
first

Barthwell Farmer Date: 4/8/2025 2:04:00 PM Cozy vibes after the first four lines that sit on top of the "I turn on the fireplace", I like the change of action seemingly without there being a change of pace in terms of what's leisurely observed from the same setting, watching the chilly weather from rooms warming up. The organic structure is nicely ambiance-inducing for sleep with its descriptive images adrift just right. I know they exist, have for a long time, yet such seems 'off' to me. A me thing.
