A Miracle in the Spring Hills
‘Tale of a Homeless Cat’
What an outstanding sunrise, that eventful day!
But I feared to see the clouds turn steel gray.
Then, the scary sounds of thunder!
It’s been months, since I lost my way…
Rain, tapping the joy of my soul away.
A homeless cat, I ran for dry shelter in the pounding hail!
Unloved and unwanted, I stared at families, behind windows, glowing!
Hungry, wet and wanting to be loved, but no one looked back.
In the lonely yard, pounded by cold hail, like hammers.
Lucky was I, to find a teeny, crying, calico kitten.
I put my moist, auburned paws about her.
She snuggled benath me for protction.
I remembered,once I had a mother.
But, they gave her away, to another?
Then, today, like a glorious dreamy, miracle,
There, the backdoor opened like a warm haven.
A welcoming woman, invited us, cordially in,
To her fireplaced home…we had found.
Almost like a flower, that grew out of the ground,
We fell asleep on warmed, plaid blankets.
Before her homey fireplace, for us she had lit.
Gosh, such a caring, sweer angels like her..
Before God, one day, with a crown of gold she will sit!
We knew at her loving feet, were blessed, to find bliss!
She was a humble poetess, don’t you know?
In her loneliness, aye, those hands we would kiss!
On sunny days.we cheered her on.
Popular she was not, but humble writing to us?
Her adopted fur babies, was just true lbliss!
