A Message To My Daughter

Fledge!
Leave the 
Child behind.
Take wing and soar
To the woman you
Are meant to be.  Build strength 
in the turbulence called life.
I am still watching, but like a
Young bird someday you will fly alone.
You have all you need for your solo flight.

I like the concept, the solo flight of a bird, the first word Fledge, gives it the drama it needs to keep the reader's interest.
