A Memorable Breeze

A breeze came through the window and brushed across my face Bringing me thoughts of you, as time turned back without a trace For a moment, it felt like nothing changed and you were right here Connecting with me all over again, while erasing every single fear No longer was I alone in this world full of conflict and animosity With facts whirling through my brain, no answers, just curiosity What would you think and say to me now, I do not even know There is so much complexity in these times that continues to grow Just as quickly as the breeze came along to reach me, it went away As I stood in the path of memories it brought from long ago, today Heidi Sands 5/29/20

How many memories ride that breeze, washed away by rain, flowing to the seas, a dream quite grandiose is this poetry and prose.

Heidi, This is one of life's mysteries to me. Why they come back in a breeze. All those sweet, spent memories. -Richard

A wonderful poem Heidi - memories come and go , some last and linger longer , but others fly away with quickly with a breeze. Whoever you were thinking of has you in their heart and will always be with you. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Much pleasure to be amid nature--you said it well, Heidi, about the emotions that evoke the past and present in all its complexity.

Well written Heidi, memories surface from time to time of events and people and for a time you are back there. Hope you're well. Tom

Thank you very much Tom. It is very true. I am ok, but dealing with blood vessel inflammation from my immune being in over drive and not back to myself. Still plodding forward. I hope you are well :)

"Wind in the Willows" is another example of sweeping through one's memory banks to dust off those long ago cells. Every time I hear Jo Stafford sing, "Oh how welcome thy voice!" ("Whispering Hope")I am instantly transported to my mother welcoming my father home from WWII when he jumped off the train, resurrecting simple pleasures unknown to modern generations! Well caught and scribed! Aloha! Rico
