A Marriage of Seasons

November’s sitting at her loom.
For gown of lace, a wrap she weaves,
And when she meets her dauntless groom,
They’ll dance among the fallen leaves.

For gown of lace, a wrap she weaves.
Her groom shall wear a silver suit.
They’ll dance among the fallen leaves,
Their special song, a lone owl’s hoot.

Her groom shall wear a silver suit.
She’ll don the woven pearl-gray shawl.
Their special song, a lone owl’s hoot,
They’ll waltz at Autumn’s farewell ball.

She’ll don the woven pearl-gray shawl,
And when she meets her dauntless groom,
They’ll waltz at Autumn’s farewell ball.
November’s sitting at her loom.

a gem of a poem Andrea and reading back i see someone stole it from you - they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but plagerism is a crime - i hope they booted the person who tried to steal your glory!:-) hugs jan xx

I should be congratulating you on a win with this Andrea.I am so upset for you that this should happen.I read the other one then came to this and cannot believe it is your poem word for word.I thought all entries were copyrighted and protected. This must be sorted out because as well as your individual hurt and justified anger this could jeopardise the reputation of Soup itself.I love this.It is a beautiful, soft, flowing write.-wonderful-and such a pleasure to read.Thank you.Love June(S)

Andrea, you are the true winner of the International contest, this plagerism is a disgrace and I have sent a message to administration regarding this matter, the person who" stole" your poem and presented it as her own, even being featured on the soup, should be removed and even charged. I am so very sorry this has happened to you.. just a reminder of how wonderful your poetry is, people who cannot write want to steal it .. and how pathetic they think we would not know .. Love Constance

OMG, Andrea! I had to see it with my own eyes! I never thought this could happen...for someone to steal your poem...how lame, really now. This is magical and you should get third place instead:) So weird that this happened to you. Hugs, Emilia

So graceful and reminds me of dainty Victorian lace as I pause to look out a window to view Autumns lovliness. Love your poems. Susan
