A Love That Has Gone Away

I saw a beautiful smile; it was the sweetest I’ve ever seen,
His eyes were a glaze of a beautiful soul within…
I never thought that he could make that jiffy, an impressive one,
It’s far from my imagination, t’was like in a lottery and I just won…

He stood in front of me, where my heart was throbbing so fast,
“I can’t believe that he’s with me, and I can’t take off my eyes…”
Pretentious look I showed to him, was the craziest I’ve ever done,
He was just staring at me, I’m so melting and my heart was shuddering in…

That first time our eyes met, I told myself “He is the ONE”,
I wanted to tell him how much I like him, how much I wanted to be with him…
But, It was not the right time, I was in a relationship back then,
I felt bad about the situation, but I need to be in the right direction…

In that year, I promised myself that someday we will end up together,
Two years had passed, everything changed, but my heart remains loving him…
Today, he is still single… and I am single, but still… we can’t be together,
Because, while I’m busy fixing the highway towards him,
He left… he didn’t stay, the worst his love for me, faded along the way…

I was wrong… too busy… and so late to tell him…  that I love him….
Now… I’m hopeless and mending my broken heart, 
To a love that has gone away, and broke this heart apart…
