A Love Story

We met
One sunset by the beach
and together
we wait
'till the sun rises.
From then,
we sailed the ocean, we're inseparable
beating up the storms.
We ride the wheels of life,
leaning to each other
through ups and down.
And now that we are
on the sunset of our lives,
Here we are again facing
the horizon by the beach.
Waiting for the dusk.
And we both know
this will be our
last sunset together.
Because very soon
the lights in my eyes
will be gone.
And only our memories
will linger.
No regrets.
Whisper to my ear
"I love you"
Before I close my eyes
Forever.

Gushing with sentiment, it makes me pause and reflect on my long, wonderful marriage. Very nice. Thank you, Dave.
