A Lone Star Night
A Lone Star Night
Just after sunset
I sat out by the fire
Waiting for the light to fade
so I could see the stars
Darks clouds gather in the west
but when I look up high
white puffy clouds are scattered
all across the sky
The moon is still slumbering
for now no moonbeams shared
I look up again and finally see
a lonely star up there
That star up there is not alone
though it appears to be
Just like I look alone to that star
as its looking down on me.
