A Little Kitten In the Garden
It was absurd to think the cat would not be caught
In the raised bed of orange iris, strategically arranged by the dissident owner.
Everyone would have thought his ordeal would have quickly come to an end,
Given his generous, costly, and obviously what he thought, was an admirable
Display of pretentious proportions, set on the large golden rocks.
Just a genial, naive little kitten without an iota of sense -
Who would soon grow to appreciate the excellent work the owner
had done to keep him out -
Even scenting the flowers with a scent that emits puppy's breath.
The old engineer had placed an order that day for more items over the phone -
To a new company named: "Strategic Packaging - Creative Answers",
quickly clicking the button to confirm his order to SPCA, adding a final note:
"Kindly tell the delivery boy to be sure to knock to make sure that I'm home".
When his order came the next day,
An irritable gray haired man unwrapped the package,
quickly exclaiming his displeasure, to an order with an obvious kink -
Three additional adorable kittens, each adorned in a ribbon of pink.
