Listen to poem:

A Lion Treat

Written October 19, 2023, For Shadow Hamilton, Wild Animal Contest ______________________________________ I rule in pride, a lion, I am glorious and supreme, I am the head of land, in my royal zest, sublime. Oh, what a treat! The zoo gift of food has come, A fantastic sight in a shiny metal basket scum! A smorgasbord of goodies poised to be devoured. By biting and eating, the taste is empowered. A bonus and edible desserts are on our plates. Every mouthful is a celebration of auspicious bait. Monosodium glutamate improves the flavor. On our plate are various entries, a culinary savor. But it's not simply food that makes us delighted. It's the company of my lioness, yelling yet, excited. A magnificent feast is near her yellow gown. Creme puff cuffs, optimal for shredding, are brown. A baseball visor on her head, malice implanted. Peach icing and a dip are tasty foods granted.

Great choice for animal, the lion is an excellent animal to write about, especially as there are so many adjectives and metaphors to describe one with... this flows so well and you are so good at rhymes.. a great choice for the contest.. Good luck..

Grand poetry. A wonderful description of lions, male and female, enjoying what the zoo keeper provides. Imagery galore. Blessings.

Woah, this is really a very intriguing and captivating personification piece. You've showcased the characteristics of the Forest's King, Lion, in such a brilliant way! I'm awestruck by the amazing storytelling skills that you've woven in a very unique manner, with impeccable wordsmithery and a flow of myriad dimensions and signs throughout. You've also conveyed a profound perspective where the food doesn't serve to his happiness, but his dear lioness really beings him joy. Best of luck!

You brought a lot of humorous joy with such a stunning Personification! And you have chosen His Majesty, the lion with all the possible symbols, significance and connotations! A true treat to be there in the king realm relishing in a so prestigious setting and atmosphere! Dear Lasaad, none can amazingly render such sublime wonder without having already attained dimensions of beauty, dexterity and depth! An immense delight to read your gems of rarity! God bless you. Best regards.

A lion always rules in pride, you must be a leo? Your choice of animal to describe and write about is beyond interesting, youve very eloquently depicted creative storytelling with a focus on a lions perspective on a meal including various sensory details and imagery! How profound! And brilliant! Very well delivered! I especially love the ending! Goodluck for the contest, always a pleasure reading your work

Beautiful personification ! Though the lion is excited with the sumptuous food it is given, I don't think it will be truly happy without being able to roam in the forest where he rules as king. However as he has his mate there, he won't feel lonely. As usual your rhyming is perfect ! Great entry for the contest. All the Best, dear friend!
