A Lighthouse

I've gardened and read
I wrote poetry in my head
I picked up all the clippings
And everything red.

Time now to nap
And dream dreams far away
Of my true love
My one love
And a light house....

Thought-provoking poem. Much said these lines. I really like the third line--seems to pull the rest of the pice together. You may want to reclassify this as free verse. Best wishes with your writing. Thank you for taking time to comment on my poem. Karen

Lighthouses have always seemed like beacons of hope to me, Randall. As a former boat owner, I relied on them for guidance at night. There are many romantic stories associated with lighthouses as well. Very interesting poem. Enjoyed! Love, Carolyn
