A Life Taken Too Soon

Only twenty six years young
she gazes from her picture
oval frame like a cameo
should hang round a neck
not on a granite slab
when the soft breeze blows
the branches shading her wave
her hair hangs still, forever
when family come to visit
the only smile is hers

Taking in knowledge of this fact provides hope and a smile tears can flow over until then.
