A Keen Kindness
I always just thought if you see somebody without a smile, give 'em yours! —Dolly Parton
We sacrifice our avarice upon the altar of love’s open cage
No matter how tainted by cupidity, ill will, or ego we engage
This may come across as vacuity to those wiser and grown
A Mantra of compassion prepares each day, with each his own
Guaranteed good faith in kindness maketh warmness betoken
Keep ‘be kind’ at the forefront of mind with powerful words spoken
A hardened heart rigid and hinged to moral failure
Untie and discard the blindfold, make love your savior
A softened heart no longer dwells in darkness
as it reaches out to the light from a dour starkness
A timid heart sharing close at hand or oceans apart
avec good intent sans agenda, unabridged boldly smart
A broken heart weeps and swells
as painful tears flood like wells
A kind heart we should not let stray
Friendly faces and welcoming grins shall come our way
Be first to unveil your smile— what goes around at bay
A generous heart one of the nine
Tributes of the Holy Spirit of the One divine
Thru our thoughts
Thru our words
Thru our deeds
Pass it on…
A genuine smile sparkles the eyes
Aligned with compassion
For those who hurt inside
“Be Kind” by God we are fashioned
