A Junkies End

As it travels through the minds dark halls
Your veins are screaming as it crawls
Another fix will do the trick
As on your soul demons lick
Just dump your dope out in the spoon
Can't get it watered down to soon
Take a smoke break it down
Make a cotton flat and round
As the cotton starts to soak
Through the needle suck up the dope
Pray a strand won't make you a believer
How bad it sucks to get the cotton fever
Now find a vein and slide it in
Hoping not to miss again
With a cough you are high
As up in heaven angels cry
Then your ears will start to ring
To the sound of demons as they sing
Then your heart will start to pound
Oh- a few hours peace you have found
Then its time to do it all over again
That is the means to a junkies end

One of my first poems I'm reposting
for a Member who seems to be facing
or at least know someone who faces
the same demon. It's a one way road
I took for 25 years and trust me when
I say at the end of the that road you
will hate who you are. Poetry has the
ability to enlighten even the worst of
burdens, open your soul and let it flow
for the truth is what will set you free.
Saved my life and that is a true Miracle
because today I am an honest man who
tries to let my soul open your heart, that
is my gift given by the Lord, I do believe.
My home is my Prison, my pain is my
penitence, my Poetry is my freedom,
and all of you are my heart. Sorry that I
rambled I seem to be doing that today.
God Bless you all,mj

You had a rough time in early life, and sadly got mixed up with some dangerous influences and poor choices. This could happen to anyone, and yes, your gift is your poetry, your sharing. Who knows how many people you have touched, how many lives you have saved?? Stay proud of the amazing turn around in your life, not many find. Stay proud of yourself, everyone else is. Love, Shar YF4L

God Bless you my brother for stepping up to the plate. Michael I live in a town with a population of 399 people, today we went down to the river and baptized 21 new souls for the Lord. God is working, there are so many hungry souls that just need a little encouragement to be set on the right path. God Bless you my friend and keep on ministering. Ron
