These are two of my poems that were for class. The first was just a basic description of the jar of Vaseline, and the second was a figurative poem describing me as the jar.

The Jelly of Me Jelly incorporates my inner self Lips concealed with the petroleum The lid covers my insecure section Which pulses with a gel-like ease Stamped to show the year I would die If allowed to exist, I might not be as strong Beyond And seeing through me Isn’t as easy as it once was I carry secrets within my belly Of jelly once lubricated on her lips
