A Hunter I'Ll Never Be

I dreamed of being a hunter
But nothing as big as a bear
Starting off with a small creature
Maybe, that chipmunk over there

Suddenly some guy yelled, "AL......VIN!!"
And about scared me half to death
I asked, "Why did you yell so loud?"
Once I had gotten back my breath

He said, "That chipmunk's a singer"
"You can't shoot him, now take a walk!"
I asked, "How can he be singing?"
I didn't even know they could talk!

You'd of thought, I was the devil
With that mean look, he shot at me
Turns out now, I'm more like the prey
I guess, a hunter I'll never be!

G'day Pat ... I'm no hunter either, and I often wonder how many hunters there would be if animals and birds had weapons - thanks Pat - Lindsay
