A Humble Tribute
The beauty of your poetry both haunts and thrills me
It takes me to beauteous fields, gardens and forests
The pain in other verses fills me to the core
I hear cries, I hear you, I feel you within
I am wrenched apart with shrieking screams
A man in a cage and man tortured with hell
A man with all his beauty laid before me
A man who’s torturous cries reach deep into my heart
Who’s thoughts of beauty and what should be
This man enriches my spirit and fills my soul
This man needs me to deeply love him
On whatever pathway he may take us forth
He has my admiration and my deep respect
No matter what merry dance he may lead me
He has all that I can give and more
Sweet Poet, my soul mate, I will be forever near.
