We fear the new, the untried, the untested
We fear pain, angst, destruction
We fear God, the devil, death
We fear loss, lasting distress
We fear hell, where there is no rest
That awful place where God’s grace
Is never felt and love has left us
With only unbearable pain
There is a way to leave the fear behind
Experience true peace
Within the soul and mind
Know that in the afterlife
There will be sweetest joy and peace
A love that is overflowing
With amazing grace
A light that resemble faith
Beckons us to become a part of the family
Who God will take home one day
To live forever, eternally
There in heaven
The way has been paved
By nail scarred hands
The price will never cost us
More than a simple prayer
Of repentance… simply ask forgiveness
And God’s grace will take you in
To always know this friend
Who will be with you til the very end
Listen to your heart
He sacrificed it all
You only need to have faith
And He will pay your way
Into that wonderful place
Where we abide eternally
In the light – the love
That is God from above
Comforting, calming, coloring
The entire air – with a joyful way
Of knowing a better day
He has paved the way
You simply step out in faith
And answer the call to be saved
From death, pain and the grave
A Heavenly home awaits
Out last thoughts are truly tranquil
Because we know in our hearts
We have every right to be thankful
