A Heart Refuses To Heal

A heart refuses to heal... What can I do? I have tried for years. How to get through? So many tears. A heart refuses to heal... I have pleaded my case. Hoping to move on. Too long in one place. I should already be gone. A heart refuses to heal... My soul, seeking to help me. Supporting my endeavor. The result, how could it be? My heart echoed never. A heart refuses to heal... I have let years slip away. A victim of the past. Hopeful that one day, I would be free at last, A heart refuses to heal... I can't make a new start. So I make one more plea, Without an open heart, love will never find me. A heart refuses to heal... If a heart does not heal, the soul can only try. Nothing left to feel, no reason to cry. A heart refuses to heal.

We know our heart is in the breast and a soul is part of the brain's function, but it's nice to forget such when we read such poetry, and see a mind, see a heart doing its own thinking; a soul existing, almost as a piece of spirit. Anyway, nice to read this, Sandra. Thank you.

Cheer up! Your soul can not die, and your love may already be waiting to welcome you to a new era - when you open your eyes to it! Aloha!

Well written Sandy. It can feel exactly like this with hurtful issues without closure and wounds that leave such scars. I hope for more freedom for you each day and much peace. Take care :)

Hi Sandra, You having written this poem is evidence that your heart does NOT refuse to heal. If it wasn't healing, it wouldn't tell you to write this. My heart told me to tell your heart this. xoxo
