A Hand To Hold

He took my hand to help me climb the mountain path. Once we reached the crest, he held me within his arms. The only view I wanted to see was the glimmer of love on his face. July 28, 2022 Short Verse Inspired by Pictures Contest Sponsored by Lisa YY Photo Prompt C ~ Word Count at 37

Jenna, the photograph was well chosen but IMHO, not in the least bit needed because the poem expressed that "Kodak Moment" better than any photograph ever could. To me, it incapsulated a tender, loving moment in time. Arete' (Greek for "Excellence."

Jenna you transformed the mountain view to your affection for him in priority and purpose of the climb. Forget the view and got caught up in the surreal moment of affection and love. The purpose of the climb, the view was secondary and your affection toward him was more important. Clever way of highlighting the search of love in his adoring face. Your romantic side shines in this well crafted clever way, of expressing this romantic Free verse of affection. The Spirit of love shines in you...

Jenna, such a winsome romantic moment you depict in only 37 words. Love the arc from a helping hand to an embrace to the look of love at the summit. Enjoyed this very much. Hope your day is blessed ~ John

Good afternoon, Tom. I was limited to using not more than 40 words, but you know me... I could've written a novel. lol Thank you and my day is comfy with a lower temperature since rain is on the way.
