A Glimpse
An image comes unbidden
in a quickening flash:
the dark silhouette of
a female, part avian,
upright and still
in a moss-clad marsh,
poised in the luster
of a golden half-sun.
The ongoing joy
of such fleeting thoughts:
a secret skylight
in a 10’ by 12’ room.
