A Glass of Wine
In a box,
a cake is hidden.
I opened it slowly,
and looked inside.
All I found…
was a bag,
and dust.
Add this, mix that,
be hopeful and hurry.
The mistake,
was in the flurry.
Whipped topping,
everywhere,
don’t stare,
it was not my fault
at all.
Ask her,
or her
or her.
We started out…
in the pan,
Then it got a light tan,
but heaven forbid,
it was not done.
taken out too early,
a kiss before you leave,
and the mistletoe,
was hung too low.
Hiccup.
I looked in the box,
a cake was hidden…
