A Force For Good

A righteous man and force for good was England’s William Wilberforce. For those without a voice he stood, a righteous man and force for good! No other man of his time could have fought so well and stayed the course! A righteous man and force for good was England’s William Wilberforce.

I thought "page 5, last poem". Not dissappointed. What a great idea is to read old submissions by the PROs at this Site. A fantastic tribute to Mr. Wilberforce. I'll fav this and use it for inspiration when I set to write my First triolet. I'm definitely coming back to your oldest poems soon.

Hmmm Andrea Triolet! Don't make me think now. I promise though I will come back to ruminate on this poetry form. Thanks for visiting my work. I have been stuck on free verses lately due to time constriction. Love Dalila

About someone I am not familiar with - I am something of a history buff but not that familiar with English history. Who was Mr. Wilberforce? I just entered a haiku contest at BMCC - $25 prize! Peace & Love Matthew Anish

love the history lesson, a fitting poem to go with his exploits. Clepedest is an old middle english word, meaning 'Çall to me' it can be used loosly, or should i say i use it loosly in the poem, instead of the title being,'speak to me/tell me' i use Clepedest. i told you my favourite poet was W.H Davies, along with you of course. Why is 9/11 so significant in the problem with your school?. harry

I guess that I need to look him up..He must have been very interesting...Thanks for stopping by..Those frogs can be annoying sometimes but they ususally rest soon after the sun goes down but the tree frogs will sing when rain is about to happen and after a rain..The Whip-Poor-Will can sing all night but most of the time I don't hear him after I get sleepy...Sara
