A Folklore of the Two Friends

Two friends into the woods went To catch a final sight of autumn; No one a witness saw them leave, Except a little boy named Tom. They two of the same interest Went merrily like they always did, Racing into the deserted woods As each one aimed to take the lead. But a trip longer than the usual Was their bet that faithful day... "Oh, don't you think we turn back?", One friend to the other did say. "No, let's go some steps further", Came the rather quick reply; "Perhaps we could find the mill That exists in folks' sweet lullaby." And so they kept on moving As far as a folklore should tell; O, two brave adventurous friends Who rang a long deserted bell!
