A Flower and a Tear

Of all her fasioned intruge, oh how it seems...her longing to be a star Of lace and draped garb she wears a trinket of charm And gives all she has to capture a dream With pounding applause the crowd screaming aloud she gracefully enters the stage With doubt in her mind her heart still alive She plays the performance of her life Bleeding her soul she sings as she strolls down a path of love and grace Bound centerstage her hand clutched in refrain As she cautiously recites a spoken word "Vulnerable - Exposed I sell my soul.... With words Falling from my lips Rejection - I Fear A love story Revered As I confess All my love for you" Sikently she turns to meet me backstage As I hand her a flower and a tear
