A Fallen Beatle

"inspired by Linda's write on JFK" My Tribute to John Lennon " A Fallen Beatle" A child from across the pond... Whose words would help the world to bond... A true poet from the heart, who's ideas touched so many even from the start... A man who inspired a country to be free.. Spoke of war and peace while in bed for all to see.. A legend in his own write, help the world to Imagine without love or hate... After a reborn life another would be his fate. He spoke of peace and freedom for all... Sadly a bullet from a mad man was his fall.. His body and being was taken and now disappeared... But his words and soul live on for all to hear... Never again will an Icon like this grace our eyes... All his words and music will continue touch many lives.. By Michael J. Falotico

Yesterday when the anniversary of Lennon's death was in the news, I thought of this poem. A memorable tribute, Michael

I don't remember seeing the Beatles perform, but I've listened to many of their songs and they were really talented. This year on American Idol one contestant performed Jealous Guy by Lennon and I think it was the highlight of the season. Wish I had known more about him. Best to you, Diane

Loved this poem! A great tribute to a great man indeed. "You may say I'm a dreamer but I'm not the only one! I hope some day you will join us and the world will be one..." My favourite song ever! =)

Lennon's desire to see peace and equality was misconstrued as some as lack of faith when he wrote "Imagine there's no heaven." You captured his soul in this poem, Michael. Excellent poem! Love, Carolyn
