A Faint Voice Whispers

Somewhere a faint voice whispers in the night Every cruel secret it's been hiding from the light No one suspects the darkness deep within The vile threats and the multitude of sin All of this is kept out of sight Who will draw back the long and ponderous veil? When will there be a balance of the scale? Still the sound carries on the restless wind Somewhere a faint voice whispers The hushed tones spoken are heard everywhere The hot breath of hate fills the foul, rank air It's the sound of madmen forged by design Crimes we've committed - they're yours and they're mine You'll ne'er be rid of them, so have a care Somewhere a faint voice whispers

Corinne, this is very well written. "The hushed tones spoken are heard everywhere The hot breath of hate fills the foul, rank air It's the sound of madmen forged by design Crimes we've committed - they're yours and they're mine" Vivid and chilling. I'm really enjoying reading your work. Donna G.
