A Double Mammy
McGee arrived early one morning
At the factory he'd worked all his life
When the foreman waved to McGee with his hand
And said there's a call from his wife
So McGee walked in to the office in haste
When no sooner he answered the phone
Set it down gently, and with a sad face
Simply let out a groan
The Boss was concerned, and so asked McGee
"Is there something you'd like to confide"
McGee wiped a tear as he turned to his boss
"It's me mother, Diss mornin' she died"
"You'll be needin' the day", said McGee's boss
As he placed his hand on McGee’s back
"No" McGee said, "I'll be just fine,
It's better I stay, right on track"
But no sooner that said, the phone rang again
and again, it was for Ole' McGee
"It's for you" The Boss said while handing the phone
back to McGee nervously
“I just can't believe it, shouted McGee
I’ll be need’in the day, diss be why,
Me brother jus’ called me and said that dis mornin’
ALSO his Mother had died”
