A Day Like Today

the following poem is a fun fictional write. On a day like today what can I say Everything seems to be going my way The mail was on time the trash man too My neighbor was nice now that's something new My lawnmower started And so did my car I even tried my bicycle And it too started On a day like today What can I say Everything seems to be Going my way I played the lottery and hit For five hundred dollars I was stunned even further When my wife said let's save it No new purse No new shoes I told everyone in the neighborhood about that good news I wish I had more days like today But I guess things can't always go your way
