A Cup of Tea and Thee

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ a cup of tea and quiet time with Thee.... the steam ascends, a fragrant, misty grace, a moment held within our shared, sacred space. each sip a prayer, a whispered, heartfelt plea, to feel Your presence, close and near to me. the world outside may rush and spin and sway, but in this cup, I find You here today. the amber liquid warms me from within, erasing shadows of regrets and remembered sin. I sip the warmth, and feel Your presence near, dispelling shadows, calming my fears. in every drop, a grace I understand, a gentle guiding from Your loving hand. when the cup is drained, the silence starts to grow, but in my heart, Your peaceful presence flows.
Aw, this should be POTD. Probably too 'old-fashioned' for the algorithm though. Too bad. It's a winner for me, and a FAVE. Thanks, Sara.
awww, thank you, Gershon. I suppose the words are a bit old fashioned....who knows, maybe the algorithm will feel nostalgic. Thanks for the fave....humbly grateful, Sara
Enthralling, and so very lovely. Your poem also comforted me, so softly it touched my God places that I could easily linger in the lines. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
"in every drop, a grace I understand, a gentle guiding from Your loving hand." -- regrets? Yes. But forgiveness is something others must deal with. All for the same God's purpose. Self is the most difficult to forgive...with time I can forgive others most everything. Have in fact. Great, soulful writing.
thanks for dropping by and for sharing your thoughts, Joe. I more easily forgive others than I do myself....I left guilt overcome me...then I remember Jesus forgave us for our sins so guilt is not necessary--it's man's ego creation...have a blessed evening, Sara
