“A crimson sky breaks the distant shore” This kaleidoscope of colours I just adore I love to stroll by the ever changing sea At peace with the world, I feel so carefree The sky’s ablaze with scarlet and gold It’s such a glorious sight to behold I’ll stay until the sun sinks down low A cool breeze blows so it’s time to go My beach walks are always fabulous fun I’ll see dawn breaking or the setting sun Where the sky changes colour as time shifts Mother Nature provides such fabulous gifts

Your poem shows the allure of the ocean. Some seashores seem more magical than others. I enjoy your fond words for nature, our fragile world.

Dear Jan, until recently I've always lived by the sea, and your description brought me right back to the days when in the early mornings or evenings I would sit oblivious to the noise and just watch the sun gently kiss the ocean goodnight. Thank you for bringing back beautiful memories through your wonderful pen. Danny

A smashing depiction of mother nature’s evening artistry, Jan. I’ve seen a few ocean sunsets, but very many lakeside ones… with the skies replicated on the waters it almost like a two for one deal. Best of luck in the contest. Terry

A wonderful description of a sunset, Jan - something I love to have the privilege to watch from time to time. You’re lucky to be able to see it more often…

There's so much beauty in our horizons, if only people would take a moment to watch them. Much better than smelling roses. Love your lines, Jan.
