Notes About The Poem

A Coral Garden

Under
                           sky and tides
            of blue and dark
       swaying inside fast
     whirlpools, falling stars,
         of shoals of shimmering scales

I become a coral garden
    Here I will rest
     Here I will smile
   Between my fingers little
        fish will swim,
            create a home, forage
              for food. At night
                     starlight caresses
                          to sleep.

                    Here I will rest.

Awesome shape and sweet little tale of one of my favorite places - coral reefs! I love scuba and snorkel, and I lived in St Croix for a while. This is great!

Yes - dreams are what keep us going, good memories the gold in our pocket, though I wish you had more of that gold, but you weren't given much time or opportunity to collect it. I pray that among the rest, you HAVE had some joyful and precious memories to sustain your spirit ... I'd have to guess yes, because something has helped your spirit survive.

(cont'd) My mom is a survivor of tragedy and similarly positive as you - I'll share with you sometime. Me? My childhood was joyous, though lacking in ways ... most of my tragedy has been in adulthood, and most of it I created myself. I'm working to change that compass - ha!

Wow.... you did? I have never been there, it is a wish, but a weird one, but hey! One must have dreams. Thanks for liking this :)

What a beautiful sea world you transport us to Darren. Your poetic ingenuity knows no bound. I found myself diving in and I am currently sitting at the very bottom (I am a swimmer by the way) looking up and marveling:) Amitiés

A sculpted poem of beauty and serenity. I could feel the current of the sea moving gently through this coral as I read my friend. Very nicely done. very talented work.

When I am in hospital, they have this salt water aquarium there, and I can sit for hours watching it. And longing to be able to swim and dive and see the coral and the fishes myself. But Ihave a vivid imagination, and as you see, I can swim there in peace using my words. Thank you my friend :)

Good Morning Darren. Yes, there is life under the sea and within the sea. Oh the coral and clear of it all. It all breathes including your entry and words. The execution format and layout are all artistic. Well done completely and entirely.
