A Cat Tale
There lays a ‘mouse’ upon the floor
And to our cat it’s so much more
Handmade of yarn, with cotton ball
A long string tail, and that’s not all.
It’s so light weight, fly’s in the air
She bats it round without a care
And carries it from room to room
But then one day it met its doom…
It disappeared ‘neath a cabinet
Nor did she know just where it went
She’d other toys, store bought was fine
But for her yarn mouse she did whine.
Even a real mouse would not do
She thought her days of playing thru
So, on the floor with bended knees
I’d search for her mouse, “Find it please!
Her antics always brought a grin
When e’re her playtime would begin
She played with it all o’re the house
And loved her little yellow mouse.
But once again it would be lost
And I must find it at all cost!
The best part of this game for her…
To see me on the floor…and purr!
