A Boy Remembers

Treehouse
                                           Each weathered wrung
                                         Of summer days gone by
                                        Filled with memories still alive
                                 Untethered adventures were left behind
In sleepy kingdoms far and wide
                                          Where magical dreams lie
                                                  And put aside
                                                    Treehouse

Congratulations! You did a beautiful job of bringing about feelings of nostalgia, even without having a treehouse. I love the phrase, "where magical dreams lie and put aside" because that's exactly what our favorite memories are, and your poem has reminded us to never forget them. Beautiful job! God bless and much love...Meghan

One of the passions of childhood and youth is to get into a tree house. As a child I remember having seen a tree house of the tribal people in the woods for the first time and grew jealous of their stay in the air. Thanks Paulette for reviving those memories !

Indeed, boyhood memories you've penned wondrously here, Paula. Embracing the youthful chapter that does not survive well in one's adulthood but does entertain magically in the process of aging my friend, Aloha~William!
