A Book I'M Reading

Some things and projects are started but never finished. Some other things were never intended for you to finish. I knew a lady who told my wife and me about a book she was writing. The entire plot, plan, and purpose were awesome. She passed on before finishing the really good book. Because it was her experience, she alone could finish it. I must tell you about a book that I am reading and will never finish. But I must first explain that the book is neither paperback nor hardcover; nor is it an eBook to be read over the internet. The whole concept might not be appealing to anyone but myself. It's like this. The book is a person that I have been reading for 29 years. It's like this. I did not realize it at first, but this assignment was given to me by The Lord, and He knew that I would never finish reading it. Please understand that I am speaking about a life, not a physical book. It is about a person I know whose life is open for all to see and observe, and not a life that is hidden, requiring the unbiblical indulgence of a heretic. No special gift, talent, or calling is required; just a desire to learn from others and share that wisdom with the world. Not by me, but perhaps someone should write a biography or novel about what I am reading about this life. This man's life is so rich that it would require several volumes to do him justice. He is a compassionate and very forgiving person, and would not hold it against me for summarizing him in a few most outstanding chapters. He is presently in midlife, has a big heart, and is blossoming in his calling. Indeed, his best is yet to come. The chapters that I have read about him are still buried deep in my heart. I don't know if they will ever be written. Therefore, I will briefly share a review or summary of a few condensed or micro-mini chapters with you. Unfortunately, the time and space herein will not allow for more detail. So, for the most part, I will reduce each of the 19 chapters into a single word describing what I am reading from the life of a very genuine person. ACCEPTANCE is what I received upon first meeting him. FAMILY is the institution of the highest priority. FRIENDSHIP, genuine and lasting, was formed between us. DELEGATION is his style of leadership. BALANCE is the kind of organization that he builds. CONSISTENCY is what embraces him. STABILITY makes him reliable. LOVE is the hallmark of everything he does. INCLUSIVITY is used to bring everyone to the table. COMPASSION compels him to 'reach out'. DIVINE INSPIRATION is what he believes in. TRUST in God turns the wheels that heal. HUMILITY attracts Grace from God. COURAGEOUSNESS pushes him forward. LISTENING first and speaking less is paramount. FORGIVENESS is a mandate for the offended one. PRACTICALITY is a prerequisite for real success. TRANSPARENCY, a weapon that defeats wounded secrecy. VULNERABILITY reminds us all of a flawed humanity.
