A Body Possessed

A body possessed is a spirit that knows no compassion, for soul grew weak. Evil’s roots took hold. Bleak became eyes that once could see the light. Spirit lost will to fight. A sinister grin curves the host’s lips. Sanity now is lost.

A chilling and powerful piece—so compact yet deeply evocative. The descent into darkness is portrayed with haunting clarity. That final line hits hard. Brilliantly crafted, Andrea.

Andrea, What a soul you've created in this eye opener of an Etheree. Makes you wonder what's lost during the seeking of needful things. A nod to Stephen King. -Richard

Excellent, Etheree, Andrea. A sad thing to happen to anyone, though it does seem to happen to many these days. Thought-provoking poetry at its best, my friend. Write On! Your poet friend in Texas, Bill

Ain't that the truth! Been there. Seen that first hand. Christ is our personal Redeemer of lost-and-found. Let us pray.... Well done! Blessings.

You really described that well, Andrea. It seems so easy to lose sanity when faced with all the atrocity in this world sometimes...we gotta care for one another! We're connected to Spirit. <3 Enjoyed your poem!
