I love this David - my interpretation is where you write until you've revealed to yourself what you need to know or ponder... One day a poem might open a box and reveal the in plain sight truth we seek. We're definitely all sat here staring at it. It's a poets way.

Thanks Dilly you echo my thoughts, I believe an open unbiased mind can indeed unlock that box, and recognise the truth within, the hard part is writing the poem in a such way, that it cannot be denied, no mean task, cheers David

Your not wrong Darlene some poetry is very obscure, and needs a lot of deciphering, I find that can be slightly off putting, so if after about 3 reads if I done get it, I check the comments if any, for a few clues, I enjoyed your poem very much, glass bottom boat is genius, keep safe and well cheers David

It sure is Darlene, I lie myself in everyday life, sometimes to make situations run smoothly or meet deadlines, I'm certainly no angel, but it's not to further some hidden agenda or goal in my poems, of course I write fiction fantasy and sometimes very dark poems, depending on my mood, but I can tell you are a good person who loves poetry and talking to the poets, cheers David

This is clever, and very true. Who needs eyes to know when someone is lying - insistence that they are not lying, if you detect it and mention it to that person, is a dead give-away! Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Thanks again Jennifer for commenting, I agree, I'll go a little further into my rationale, sometimes the liar surrounds the lie with truth, that is where a poets imagination is needed where eyes cannot see, we tend to pick up on tiny imperceptible nuances it's our job, cheers David

Heya Anne Lise, people must think I don't trust anyone, but I really do, only life's journey has thought me to examine and question everything, using common sense more so, cheers David

Sometimes a poet has been so blinded by lies that he/she can no longer distinguish a lie from the truth. You give perspective in your monoku, David.

Yes indeed Jenna, you see through my monoku, if a poet is blinded by lies or bias, they will write erroneously, this one also goes a little deeper with a message the manipulator might only see, cheers David

David, you wrote a fantastic Monoku. Indeed, the poet must dig incredibly deep with his talent and know-how to find the lies and make them clear to his audience, but sensations are the most challenging deceit to expose. And, because his poetry is so costly, he must empty his pockets of language every morning to select a rare letter that reflects his elegance.

Thank you Lasaad, indeed a clear page every day is important, the plain truth here is we need our independent self not to be deceived by our leading lights, eyes can be blinded by hidden bias, we must examine with our own minds using life's knowledge, if something doesn't make clear sense, I must question, cheers David
