A Bland Question
Every eve, you ask me
How was your day?
As if you care, as if you know
As if you have something to say
Every eve, I answer too
It was fine, nothing new
As if I mean it, as if I feel it
As if I really have nothing to do
Every eve, we repeat this
A ritual, a habit, a routine
As if we are happy, as if we are close
As if we are living a dream
But we are not, we are not
We are hollow, we are empty
We are strangers, we are robots
We are nothing but a parody
You don't see me, you don't hear me
You don't know me, you don't love me
You don't ask me, you don't tell
