A Billion Colored Rain Drops

I'm falling, falling, up from my rage!
Words unwound in convoluted strings.
All my thoughts rejected by the page.

I am a lost bird with backward wings.
Trying hard to escape my restraints.
Words unwound in convoluted strings.

I look towards heaven and the saints.
Grasping for answers to set me free.
Trying hard to escape my restraints.

An upside down backwards symphony.
All those notes I wish to contain.
Grasping for answers to set me free.

Like a billion drops of colored rain.
Waiting to be absorbed by my pen.
All those notes I wish to contain.

I will never be the same again.
I'm falling, falling, up from my rage.
Waiting to be absorbed by my pen.
All my thoughts collected on the page.

God is in every one of those colored raindrops and pulled you out of writer's block to give you this great poem to share with us. The rainbow always follows the rain. I'd say with this one, it must have been a double rainbow! Blessings to you, Richard

Richard, I`m singing in the rain `neath the colored fresh hues of your pen.How great it feels for emotions to flood the pages, not with lonely tears but with crystal drops of words which feels so good after sun burnt rage.Beautiful poem and eye catching title. You never cease to amaze me.

Oh the frustration of poet's block. You tell it so well. Waiting and wondering if another poem will come, the ink trickling slowly, then wham! a deluge, and the words come in a torrent.

It has been a long time since I have experienced writers block but the last time I did, it lasted several years. The last three years have been quite the ride. Thanks for your thoughtful visit.

Very passionate write Richard. Admire the way you give vent to frustrated feelings. Fortunately those restraints are usually self-made...thus we can rely on ourselves for solutions. [ some yoga might help...headstands:) ] // paul

All of us, as writers, can surely relate to this. I've been going through a bit of writer's block, as of late. You were able to express this frustration in a very dramatic way, and it leaves a lasting impact on the reader. An excellent poem, Richard!
