A Better Tomorrow

A BETTER TOMORROW
A summit of world leaders have agreed Upon a plan for everlasting peace. And all, without exception, signed a deed, To ratify an international law. So now, to narrow the racial divide, There’s a new marriage law to put things right. All partners must be from the other side. Jew tied to Arab, black to marry white All the religions must merge into one, Accepting there’s just one God up above. There will never be a need for a gun In a world devoted to peace and love We can dream of life devoid of sorrow. Could there be a much better tomorrow? 19th September 2020 A Better Tomorrow Poetry Contest Sponsor - John Hamilton

An interesting conceptual write Bryn, it would have placed higher with proper rhyme scheme, but overall enjoyed the write, congrats on a nice placement!

Real food for thought here Bryn and I always enjoy the rhythmic flow of your poetry. Did you intend to rhyme lines 2 and 4 though?
