A Better Tomorrow

Neighborhoods burned. Riots laid them to waste
The world is tense with racial dissension
Judgement by color leaves an acrid taste
But God offers hope through intervention

He created us with skin, dark and fair
No one has the right to question His plan
We should ask for tolerance through prayer;
and accede that we are the race of man

On God, we should rely with faith and trust
Because living in dread and constant fear
will end with more hardships and a life trussed
and shackled by things we should hold most dear

We stand on the threshold of tomorrow ~
Better without prejudice and sorrow

Jenna, your outstanding sonnet points us to the only real hope. Until the day of true racial justice and equality, we will keep striving and praying and trusting in God. Going in my faves, congrats on a well deserved first place win, my friend ~ John

Best wishes to you Jenna. We have passed the tolerance level . Murder is OK now? Supported by lunatic newscasters. God never planned this...prejudice is compounded with killing. No law and order= the demise of any country. A being, called Satan and His minions are busy at work... Pangie xxx

Hi, Jan. Thanks so much for being encouraging. We need more help since mankind is not capable of righting most of its own wrongs.
