A BENTLEY DOG DAY

LOOKING OUT THE WINDOW,
WATCHING IT RAIN.
FORCED TO STAY IN
AND I'M GOING INSANE.

LIGHTNING AND THUNDER
MAKE ME SMILE
NONE THE LESS
I'LL BE HERE A WHILE

IT STARTED EARLY THIS MORNING,
WHILE I WAS DREAMING OF FEATS.
THUNDER INTERRUPTED
MY INTENTIONAL SLEEP.

FORCED TO ARISE
JUST MADE ME UPSET.
LOSS OF SLEEP
IS LIKE GOING IN DEBT.

THE CLOUDS ARE FALLING
THE RAINS ARE LOW.
NOT ENOUGH WIND
AND NO PLACE TO GO.

NO SENSE IN BARKING
AND RUNNING AROUND.
IT ONLY MAKES SENSE
TO FIND A SPOT AND LAY DOWN

SO HERE I AM,
STUCK IN THE HOUSE.
I STARE OUT THE WINDOW
AND FEEL LIKE A MOUSE.

UNTIL THE RAIN STOP
HERE'S WHERE I'LL STAY.
ONCE THIS IS OVER
I'LL GO OUT AND PLAY.
