A Battle To Stay Awake

Mable relishes to read
She enjoys the mysteries
As few chapters are read
Every evening the same
The pages are so exciting 
There is a lot of action
A real page turner
It keeps her interested
Her eyes get heavy
They are slowly closing
She wants to stay awake
Only to lose the battle
Then drifts into a sleep
Instead of reading
