A Soul Smoldering With Sympathy
A SOUL SMOTHRED IN SYMPATHY
I need you like a rose needs rain
I need you like I need life sustaining air
I need you for my garden is now in pain
My garden and I, one mournful pair
Drip drip
Drip on lips that lie
Drip drip
Drip from eyes that may never dry
Leaves drop
Leaves drop
Leaves that tell winter to begin its chill
while the tender taste of your lips linger still
Splash splash
Splashing in the sea that summer day
Splash splash
And it’s strange how love can be soft or so garishly brash
When apple blossoms bloom I fear the worst
For then was the season you said goodbye
Now in tears, leaves and seasons I’m very well versed
And to this day I can’t order my eyes not to cry
Drip drip
Drip on lips that tell the sun to glow
Drip drip
And with my many tears shall my garden grow
